Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell was TV personality and former chef of the Institute of Culinary Education and formerly teaches cooking. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on Food Network. Food Network. Her signature spiky blonde hair and pumped-up personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals concise easy-to-master techniques to cook at home on her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. The chef Burrell is also a seasoned veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She also has studied Italy's culinary tradition and the culture of Italy, and the surrounding environment. When she was a kid in Upstate New York Chef Burrell was attracted by the food. She pursued her love of working in the restaurant business by enrolment in The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English and Communications from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic experience. I couldn't learn enough couldn't do enough couldn't work hard enough. After graduation, chef Burrell spent a period of time in Italy studying at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria as well as La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. In her time in Italy she was able to fully be aware of the philosophy behind Italian food and culture that has had a profound impact from a culinary perspective. Burrell served as a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to brighten the lives of kids facing problems. Burrell is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador who promotes education about children with diabetes. She is a frequent guest to speak at conferences and tours the country as part of her mentorship task. Anne in all her experience in the kitchen, has declared that it's an honor to be in a position to share this passion for the food industry with people.
